On our second day in Çesky Krumlov we took it a bit easy. We spent some time in the morning exploring more of the town. We saw the local museum, the start exhibit of which was an excellent scale model of the town. We revisited the castle gardens to kill time before our guided tour inside the castle.
I don't normally like guided tours, but this was the only way to see inside the castle buildings and it turned out to be very worthwhile. We learnt all about the people who lived here, and more importantly got a feel for what life inside the castle must have been like. Each room was exquisitely furnished, and the rooms themselves were vast with high ceilings.
In the evening we had touble finding somewhere to eat. All the restaurants seemed to be full of people - we had to try a few places before settling on a strangely empty restaurant in a side street. The ambience was non-existant, thanks mostly to the corridor shape of the room and partitioned tables, but the food was good.
Later we returned to the cocktail bar where the waitress remembered who we were and what our favourite cocktails were!
