This is an outrageous crime:
Brown’s response? To seize the UK assets, not of the bank that ran Icesave, but of a wholly unrelated bank, Kaupthing, thereby collapsing it.
There is no possible justification for this. It is straightforward theft. I have more respect for drug cartels — who are after all just trading in a commodity and mainly use violence to defend their trade from the aggression of states — than this horrible lot.
