I just don’t understand WHY the pols don’t want to promulgate marriage as the best form of social support for kids – unless, of course, they don’t want strong and independent families to threaten their own power…All Of Your Kids Are Belong To Us!
I don’t want them to “promulgate marriage” either! It’s just none of their business. But reading between your lines, I can see how the state gets more powerful if it can encourage everyone to split up and then solve all their problems with welfare and child support agencies and whatnot.
