Over at The Daily Ablution, Scott Burgess has compiled a list of ten things that everyone knows, except that they’re not true. For example, everyone knows that the Americans armed Saddam. The only trouble is, they only armed him to the tune of $200 million, as opposed to Russia’s $17 billion, and France’s $5 billion.
Which all goes to show how, when the Guardian and the BBC and other assorted lefties repeat things often enough, they start to believe themselves. I’m convinced this is what has happened with global warming – it is reported as absolute fact in most of the press that the world is getting warmer because of human activity. And yet, how often is the controversy reported?
