I work with digital TV, and there’s usually a TV on somewhere in the lab. Right now, someone has tuned in to TBN, the Trinity Broadcasting Network. It’s a California based religious TV station, jam packed with hilarious loonies. I’ve given up trying to describe it. Thankfully, you can see it for yourself, live on the Internet! Watch out for the woman with the enourmous pink hair peddling wares from the Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh Gift Shop.

There was a programme on TBN “Praise the Lord” about a moslem chap called Saddique who was a wealthy moslem who got a strange disease which almost killed him and he prayed to Jesus and was healed and converted to christianity.

Have you heard those loonies? I mean, come on…look at it! Any plain-sighted person can
see its clearly flat.
Just because God is invisible to our limited eye sight, does not mean He is imaginary.
And just because the people on TBN may not look “normal” to you, doesn’t mean their words are
untrue. God is who He says He is whether you choose to believe it or not.
“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are
being saved it is the power of God. For it is written: ‘I will destroy the wisdom of the
wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.’” (1 Cor 1:18, 19)
“Do not deceive yourselves. If any one of you thinks he is wise by the standards of this age,

Have you looked at the blue/red spiked hair, tattooed, pierced weirdoes we see on other channels-pink seems rather tame. Or yes there is also the fact that she (and TBN) promote the love of God and even if you don’t believe in God-He does exist and you WILL see Him someday and stand before Him on Judgment Day. Check yourself out on The Ten Commandments and see just where you stand! Then you may wish to begin listening to Jentzen Franklin and other “loonies” to see how to rectify your sinful life.

I gotta say that Jentzen Franklin was my pastor for ten years too…. and I have never met a more blackhearted bastard cutthroat. He only cares about people as long as it’s convenient for him, but when your usefulness is used up, you will be promptly discarded like last week’s garbage. That man has done more harm to this town than anyone I can think of. His filthy church spreads like a cancer…. and most of the congregation are good people who don’t have a clue. But they will find out soon enough……

Oh yea, and as for the comments about the pink-haired lady on TBN, her name is Jan and you should try looking at her heart and not her hair. As Christians we teach not to judge appearance even of non-believers, much less judging those who live their lives for God. She has more love than many people I know.

There are certainly a lot of strange things that people seem to think of ministers. Did you think people were perfect? God uses whoever is available, and if anyone claims to be his spokesperson, He/She will be held accountable by God. If they don”t speak, they’ll also be held accountable. I personally don’t believe in the God of Hellfire&Brimstone, but I do believe He really is the only way to eternal peace and true joy.
TBN has done more to progress the medium of TV broadcasting as a tool for sharing the gospel than any other body…ever. I’ve done alot of work with the folks there as a musical artist and guest and have had good experiences for the most part.
Christians should be ashamed of themselves as they criticize and ridicule one another in front of the world. The comments you make will be called up against you one day as you stand and are judged and I’m afraid that they may be what prompts a response from god of “Depart from me.” instead of the one you might expect.
You will be judged for what you say about the church … especially when the world looks on.
Jentezen Franklin is a great guy and a good pastor. The comments made are made out of jealousy and resentment. Maybe somebody didn;t get their way and is acting like to spoiled brat that they are.
Also, Hal Linsey was never dropped for being “too pro Israel”, but for reaching too hard to capitalize on every world even to make a million more dollars on book sales.

Those of us who are Christians will be prayng for you since you’re obviously not Christians. You need Jesus to reach Heaven and will have to accpet Him as Saviour and then live a life in which you progressively make Him Lord by allowing Him to control more and more areas of your life.
Kindness, humility, gentleness and a consistent consideration for others…even pink hared women on TV … are all characteristics of a true Christian. If they’re not there, which is the case with you, we who are Christians will have to assume that you don’t know Christ….not to judge or criticize you in the manner that you do others, but to pray for you and your salvation.
Without Him, there is no hope of seeing God.
Seems to me there is to much discussion about following an earthly man and not God. Don’t follow a church for the pastor, follow it because it is Bible based.

i have known jentzen franklin since i was 6 years old in a church in henderson, nc. i knew even then that he was bound for greatness in the Kingdom of God. His father was a preacher in the 1st church i ever attended. my grampsie, ned ayscue was the one who introduced me to the great love of the church and of God. Even then, the whole Franklin family was involved in praising and worshipping the Lord. so whoever it is that is so dis-satisfied with jentzen and his church, they should do some soul-searching, and if they don’t like his preaching style, then find a pastor they like, if the Lord leads them elsewhere. I am now the mother of six, 3 of them teenagers,and they all love Mr. Franklin’s style, and he has made a positive impact on all our lives. i am curious as to whatever happened to his sister jennifer, his brother ritchie, and his brother joel.? keep up the great work, jent!@!!!
Listen, Seriously!! Can you guys blame Ron for thinking these people on TBN are nuts. I am ashamed that these are the (Paul and Jan) people representing my faith on the largest satelite network in the world. We cant blame these guys for thinking we are religious freaks when we start quoting scripture and talking about them going to hell. If you really want to have someone listen to your opinions on anything then you have got to “earn the right”. Do you really think that some guy is going to flip the channel from Spike TVs UFC event and catch a glimpse of Jan crouch on TBN and stop because he is inerested in what she is saying? Even if she is saying good things, you have to “earn the right”. TBN is not reaching non-christians. I cant watch them and I am a christian. They are irrelevant to the culture. If they were really concerned they would get the camera off of their mugs and put on some ‘well thought out individual’ who appeals to the demographics of the viewer they want to reach.
As for Stephen and his comment about Jentzen Franklin, well it’s obvious that you were the victim of a well run organization with strong leadership that refused to overlook your lack of talent and ability and they spit you back out into society where you will get fired from the next job. The most powerful tool my friend is “the mirror”. Why dont you look at what you are doing or not doing and fix that. I can tell you that Jentzen would explode to the top of any field he wanted. Jentzen Franklin is perhaps one of the greatest leaders of our day. He speaks encouraging words upon request to NFL football stars and coaches, he actually was able to personally lead Whitney Houston back to her roots of christianity just this year, he is productive and influential in circles that most of us will never see. The man is not perfect im sure, but the fact that ‘you’ would even say a negative word about him is like a WWII soldier court martialed for going AWOL and then bad mouthing General McCarthur and his efforts. Everyone has humnan flaws, but you have to sacrifice some along the way in order to achieve the greater good and you my friend were obviously the sacrifice. Judging from your own words that tell a thousand books about who you are as a person, I am confident that the right decision was made.

This is my first time posting on here.
As far as TBN goes… yes there are a lot of teachers who are ALWAYS speaking on MONEY- MONEY!
and I’m sure many of them are FALSE PROPHETS.
But there are few good preachers and teachers as well (they may be few) … I actually got saved through TBN… I was religious but lost! and God drew me to watch/listen to a few different speakers and I surrendered my life to JESUS.
Now I minister in Jails and Juvenile Facilities and do street ministry.
The Gosple message is simple… were all sinners and have sinned against God. Were all under a death sentence.. God is Holy! and one day we will all be judged and found guilty. (the wages of sins is death. (Romans 6:23)
Hell is the eternal punishment we deserve. BUT, JESUS came down as a man and paid the punishment for us on the cross. That is why the Gosple is Good-news. When we repent-humble ourselves and turn to Jesus and surrender our lives to Him and make Him Lord and call out to Him ..We shall be saved!! and thats just the start… Now we have a awesome God relatonship we talk to God and He guides us and leads us by His Holy Spirit.
I tell you what, I will never regret surendering my life to the Lord.. He delivered me from being a heavy drinker and a self-center evil person.. Thank you Jesus!!
Anyway,– Hopefully I said something to help someone..God bless ..remember God is a prayer away.
